ANAEROBIC DIGESTION

Biogas of high energy content

Anaerobic digestion is a series of processes in which micro-organisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen.

In the process two by-products are obtained: a high heating value gas (~ 22 MJ/m3) called BIOGAS, and waste water with biological matter that can be used as a soil conditioner or fertilizer.
Once the biogas generated is conditioned, it is used in specially designed Guascor SFGLD engines for heat and power generation. The complete process contributes to the mitigation of CO2 emissions.

FEEDSTOCKS
